About Us
Our story began in 1930, when Albert Roby entered the monument industry in Lima, Ohio. Known for his artistic ability and fine craftsmanship, Albert built a respected reputation in the monument trade. He later moved to London, Ohio, where his son, Daniel Roby, began apprenticing under him in 1956.
The family tradition continued in 1979 when Daniel’s son, Timothy Roby, began his own apprenticeship. In 1990, Timothy founded Roby’s Memorial Design & Lettering, carrying forward the skills and craftsmanship passed down through generations.
In 2008, Timothy’s sons, Brad Roby and Aaron Roby, joined the company as fourth-generation stone cutters, continuing a family tradition of craftsmanship that began more than 90 years ago.
With four generations of experience, our company has built a legacy of fine craftsmanship along with extensive knowledge and experience in the monument industry. What began nearly a century ago continues today: to create meaningful memorials that stand the test of time.
